Classes, Courses and Events
WGAS members Sylvia Ditch and Gary Fell both run art sessions at the West Dean Centre in Bream.
Sylvia runs a class for beginners and improvers on Wednesday mornings from 10.00 to 12.15. For more information please phone her on 01594 562901.
Gary runs a drop-in art session on Friday mornings and also gives short courses on specific subjects and techniques.

Ross-on-Wye Decorative and Fine Arts Society has a varied programme of events including lectures, study days and visits.
Wye Valley Arts Centre, in Llandogo, is close to the Forest of Dean and offers a wide range of workshops and courses.
The Forest and Rivers Open Studios weekends take place in July each year.

Gallery 54 is in Ross-on-Wye
Denise Yapp has a lovely gallery in an 18th Century grade II listed building in Whitebrook in the heart of the Wye Valley. The gallery shows leading contemporary British paintings and sculpture. Open by appointment only.
Taurus Crafts in Lydney is a thriving art and craft centre with art studios, craft units, a working pottery, design led shops and a restaurant. There are exhibitions throughout the year.
The Apple Store Gallery in Hereford arranges workshops and monthly exhibitions.
Hot Pot Pottery in Christchurch has a pottery gallery, tea room and working pottery studio.
Gloucestershire Arts and Crafts Centre in Gloucester has art for sale and art materials too.
Art supplies, printing and framing
First Stop Stationers in Chepstow stock a range of paints and other artists supplies.

Beaver Framing in Monmouth are an established business providing a professional service.
Fellows Framing, between Lydney and Blakeney provides a bespoke framing service to Fine Art Trade Guild standards.
Colemans in Ross-on-Wye is an important local supplier. They have a discount scheme for regular customers.
Artizan Editions in Coleford work with artists to produce high quality short runs of specially made screenprints.
Arts centres and other venues
ARTspace in Cinderford offer courses in art and crafts for adults and children and also have an exhibition space.
Nature in Art, near Gloucester is the world’s first museum and art gallery dedicated to fine, decorative and applied art inspired by nature. They have an excellent café too!
Gloucestershire College has courses in art and design.
